Luxury and Period Property Decorating
Some properties need more than paint applied well. A Victorian ceiling rose, a listed staircase, or a bespoke leisure complex all come with their own material, access, or approval considerations before work even starts. Our period house painting and luxury home painting work is planned around what the property is, not treated as a standard job with a bigger price tag.

We also work on high end homes and luxury properties where existing materials, fittings and architectural details need to work together rather than being treated separately.
Period, Historic & Character Properties
We work on period properties, historic homes and other character buildings, including Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian houses.
Older properties often have features that are part of what makes them special, such as high ceilings, decorative mouldings, fireplaces, timber floors and original doors. We take these into account when painting and decorating so the new finish works with the property rather than making it feel out of place.
Our work also includes character homes, barn conversions, heritage properties and other older buildings where the existing style needs to remain part of the finished look.
Listed and Heritage Properties
Listed properties come with restrictions on materials, colour, and method, set by the listing itself, not by us or by the homeowner. Before any work starts, we work out what the listing actually allows, so the job stays within those rules from the first coat rather than needing correction partway through.
The same approach applies to historic and heritage properties more generally, listed or not. Original features get retained where they can be, and any repair work is matched to what's already there rather than replaced with something that looks obviously new. Where a property has had previous work done to a lower standard, that gets factored into the plan too, since it often affects how the surface takes paint now.
Traditional Woodwork & Original Features
Traditional woodwork and original details need careful treatment, particularly when they have been painted several times or have been part of the property for many years.
We work on doors, frames, staircases, skirting, mouldings, beams and other timber details as part of the wider decorating project. Our period woodwork painting work is carried out with the existing style of the property in mind.
We also work with original features where these need refreshing or bringing back into the finished room without losing their character.
